Tuskegee, JBER Airman perform historic F-22 inspection

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Stephen Teamer, 477th Fighter Group quality assurance inspector, operates a portable maintenance aid during a quality insurance inspection with Tech. Sgt. Jeremiah Frye, 477th Fighter Group quality assurance inspector, and Army Air Corps Staff Sgt. Leslie Edwards, a Tuskegee Airman of the 617th Bombardment Squadron, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Oct. 14, 2017. Edwards accompanied Frye for his 5,000th quality assurance inspection, a milestone he reached in eight years which typically takes 25 years to accomplish. The 617th Bombardment Squadron was one of the four Tuskegee Airmen bomber squadrons during World War II that made up the 477th Bombardment Group. In 2007, the 477th Bombardment Group became the 477th Fighter Group, bringing with it the legacy of Tuskegee Airmen to Alaska. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Curt Beach)
