ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Tech. Sgt. Ernest Kunde, 477th Fighter Group Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and Airman 1st Class Juan Leal, 3rd Wing Maintenance Squadron, review forms on the Portable Maintenance Assistance Unit prior to launch during Red Flag-Alaska July 28. Red Flag-Alaska is a Pacific Air Forces commander-based field training exercise for U.S. coalition forces flown under simulated air combat conditions. It provides joint offensive counter-air, interdiction close air support, and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment. This is the third Red Flag-Alaska exercise members of the 477th FG have participated in since the group's activation in 2007, training alongside their active-duty counterparts as part of Total Force Integration.
