Iditarod 2016
Scott Janssen, and his godson, Jaikob Stahnke, pulled the top number allowing Janssen to be the first musher to follow the honorary musher at the start of the Iditarod. Janssen began mushing in 2007 and is known as the “Mushing Mortician” because he has been a mortician and funeral home owner for 29 years. The Iditarod is a 1,000-mile sled dog race across the rugged terrain of Alaska. This is the second year Air Force Reserve Recruiting has sponsored the Iditarod, known as “The Last Great Race on Earth.” (Tech. Sgt. Kimberly Moore)
