JBER mechanic innovates safety solution
Jessie Mauldin, 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron heavy mobile equipment mechanic, drills a hole for an eyelet on top of a deicing truck to tether a fall-protection safety harness at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Jan. 22, 2019. The modification involves strategically attaching four eyelets to the top of each truck so mechanics can attach a mobile safety harness. Mauldin has taken steps to push his innovation to all heavy mobile equipment maintenance shops Air Force-wide.
