Maj. Rebecca K. Daugherty is the Commander, 477th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. She manages the production and sortie generation requirements for two F-22 Aircraft Maintenance Units under a Classic Associate Total Force Integration construct. As the senior Air Reserve Technician, she also oversees all daily administrative and readiness requirements of the squadron.

Major Daugherty earned her Bachelors of Science at Widener University, her Masters of Aeronautical Science degree at Embry Riddle  Aeronautical University, and received her commission at the Academy of Military Science, McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base,  Tenn. She has served in the Air Force Reserve as a traditional  reservist, an Active Guard-Reserve and as an Air Reserve  Technician. In 2004, she entered the Air Force Reserve as a
medical logistician and upon commissioning in 2005, she started her career as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer and joined the 514th Air  Mobility Wing where she was a flight commander for the 714th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. During her time there, she led the maintenance and training efforts of 144 traditional and ART members responsible for the inspection and repair of 16 KC-10A aircraft valued at $1.25 billion. In 2008, she was selected to augment the 22nd Air Force Logistics Directorate and executed an 18-month manning assist as the deployment focal point supporting 13 wings across the numbered Air Force. In 2010, she was assigned to extended active duty as an AGR working at Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command A4 as the Chief, Weapon System Support Branch where she provided critical airframe and equipment support to more than 16,000 maintenance personnel at 32 flying units with 370 assigned aircraft. In 2013, she joined the Air Reserve Technician program assigned to Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla. as the operations officer of the 482nd Maintenance Squadron. There she supported the squadron commander in all aspects of operations responsible for over 360 Reserve and regular Air Force members in an Active Associate construct across 16 Air Force specialty codes while planning and executing a 5,600-hour annual flying program supporting 28 F-16 C/D aircraft valued in excess of $988 million.   Major Daugherty has deployed to Southwest Asia, Al Dhafra Air Base, UAE and Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
