The Warrior Program provides E-5 and below service members and their families with basic household items including clothing, books, movies and music. Every month each eligible military family is entitled to $25 worth of apparel including uniforms and shoes, and $25 worth of house hold items (excluding consignments.)
The consignment program allows you to sell your unwanted items and make a little extra money.
“In appreciation of our E-5 and below service personnel stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, we would like to help to defray some of the expenses incurred with residing in such a high cost of living state, said Jamie Gray, thrift shop manager. Take a moment and sign up for this opportunity to start receiving this benefit.”
All profits from the Richardson Thrift Shop go to the Richardson Spouse’s Club which contributes to community programs and scholarships.
“The Thrift Shop always has volunteer opportunities, it is one way to give back that helps all service members,” said Gray. If you are interested in volunteering, stop by or call to get information about your opportunities to contribute.” According to Gray, the Richardson Thrift Shop depends on your donated items to keep its doors open and to continue opportunities for service members. “The Richardson Thrift Shop appreciates your service to our country and your patronage to our store,” said Gray.
The Richardson Thrift Shop is located at 724 Quartermaster Road JBER, Alaska.
