Col Eric Overturf, 477th Fighter Group Commander, briefed Cub Scouts from Den #1 of Pack 227 on Feb 12. There were 20 scouts that were ages 6-10 years old.

Col Overturf talked about gear an F-22A Raptor pilot needs when they fly and gave the boys a walk-around tour of an F-22.

Mr. John Wanamaker, 477th Fighter Group Honorary Commander, listened in on the brief and tour. His wife Karin is the den leader.

"They were ecstatic about the visit. The real take-home from the experience was "recognize your passion and pursue it," Mr. Wanamaker said.

The 477th Fighter Group is Air Force Reserve Command's first F-22A Raptor unit and the first Reserve flying unit based in the Pacific theater of operations.
