Arctic Reserve Deploys To Guam To Support 3rd Wing Published Jan. 10, 2009 By Staff Sgt. Rhiannon Willard 477th Fighter Group / Public Affairs ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- The 477th Fighter Group, Air Force Reserve Command's first F-22A Raptor unit, deployed six maintainers and two weapons loaders to Anderson Air Base, Guam. They deployed in support of.the 3rd Wing's theater security package supporting U.S. Pacific Command objectives in the Western Pacific, Friday, Jan 9, 2009. A total of eight Reserve pilots are also scheduled to join the tasking efforts over the course of the deployment. The 477th FG is a Classic Associate unit responsible for recruiting, training, developing and retaining unrivaled Citizen Airmen to support 3rd Wing and Expeditionary Air Force mission requirements. While deployed the Reservists will be fully integrated and supporting the 90th Fighter Squadron as they deploy F-22s and personnel.
