Tech. Sgt. Bryce Kelsey and Staff Sgt. Manny Acuna, 477th Fighter Group Maintenance Squadron, point to a spot for retired Lt. Col. James Warren to sign on a symbolic group banner at the Tuskegee Airmen's 38th Annual National Convention 7 August in Las Vegas, Nev. Lt. Col. Warren, one of the original Tuskegee Airmen, is the honorary commander for the Air Force Reserve Command's 477th Fighter Group, Elmendorf AFB, and a former member of the 477th Bombardment Group. The 477th BG was activated during World War II as part of the historic Tuskegee Airmen. The group was reactivated as the 477th Fighter Group, Air Force Reserve Command's first F-22 Raptor unit. Lt. Col. Warren and several other original Tuskegee Airmen attended the 2007 reactivation ceremony in Alaska, linking their incredible heroism and courage during WWII with the 477th FG's exciting future.
