Anchorage Resident Loses 115 Pounds to Join Air Force Reserve

Derrick Bell signed his enlistment paperwork Jan. 15 with Lt. Col. Raymond Platt. Bell is the newest enlisted member of the 477th Fighter Group, a Classic Associate unit responsible for recruiting, training, developing and retaining unrivaled Citizen Airmen. In only 11 months Bell lost 115 pounds before he met physical standards for the Air Force Reserve. Today he is preparing to attend technical training to work as an F-22A Raptor Crew Chief.
