Arctic civil engineers prepare for deployment
ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska-- During the four day bivouac, the 477th CES partnered with Air National Guard?s 176th Security Forces Squadron and conducted air base ground defense, weapons handling, night operations and perimeter defense. The 3rd Civil Engineer Squadron was on hand to train them on identifying Improvised Explosive Devices. In addition, Airmen received first aid, buddy care and CPR Certification and learned proper bed down procedures. The 477th CES is a part of Air Force Reserve?s 477th Fighter Group.
