Mortuary Affairs transports transfer cases
Staff Sgt. Jamal Miqbel, 3rd Airlift Squadron loadmaster, guides a K-loader carrying two empty transfer cases from Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations at Dover Air Force Base, Del., June 25, 2020. The transfer cases were flown to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, for Operation Colony Glacier, a mission to recover and identify the remains of service members who were killed when an aircraft crashed in 1952. The transfer cases will be used to transfer remains back to Dover AFB, where the armed forces medical examiner will begin identifying the remains. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
