Independent duty medical technicians Air Force Staff Sgt. Brandi Kruger-Dunn and Air Force Tech. Sgt. Luis Baptista perform simulated laceration repair and anesthesia techniques, Dec. 10, 2020 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Different types of wounds at varying locations of the body require IDMTs to review and perform multiple types of anesthetic approaches, while different location on the body also require knowledge of types, sizes or suture materials. Kruger-Dunn and Baptista are both assigned to the 517th Airlift Squadron and 210 Rescue Squadron respectively.
