A placard designed for the Department of Defense's Go for Green program is used to make healthy choices Oct. 3, 2017, at the Hercules Dining Facility on Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. To improve the effectiveness of the Go for Green program, the Air Force Medical Support Agency health promotions team has employed an updated version of the Military Nutrition Environment Assessment Tool, or m-NEAT 2.0, to assess an installation’s nutrition environment and policies related to promoting and supporting healthy among Airmen. The tool looks at food policy, availability, choice architecture, health messaging and food labeling, and economics and community outreach.
