Maj. Kevin Sutterfield (left) and Capt. Adam Keith step to their F-22 Raptors during Red Flag-Alaska 09-3 July 29. Red Flag-Alaska is a Pacific Air Forces commander-based field training exercise for U.S. coalition forces flown under simulated air combat conditions. It provides joint offensive counter-air, interdiction close air support, and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment. Sutterfield is a member of the 302nd Fighter Squadron and Keith is a member of the 90th Fighter Squadron. This is the third Red Flag-Alaska exercise members of the 477th FG have participated in since the group's activation in 2007, training alongside their active-duty counterparts as part of Total Force Integration.
