Second Annual Running of the Reindeer

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -- Colonel Eric Overturf gives a thumbs up to his competition during the "2nd Annual Running of the Reindeer" here. Col. Overturf, an F-22A Raptor pilot, isn't use to running from a fight, but running was the name of the game during this 'mission'. The Colonel ran in the celebrity heat running 2 city blocks with a herd of reindeer darting through the crowd. Colonel Overturf is the 477th Fighter Group Commander at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. The 477th Fighter Group is Air Force Reserve Command's first F-22A Raptor unit and the first Reserve flying unit based in the Pacific theater of operations.
